Steamboat Springs, also known as "Ski Town USA" has produced 69 Olympians, more than anywhere else in the United States. A ranch town with a world-class ski resort, Steamboat thrives on its' authentic western heritage. Steamboat is truly the heart of the West. It is a ranching town with Western storefronts, a couple of dogs in the back of a passing pickup, and drivers in cowboy hats. A rodeo runs all summer long nearly every Friday and Saturday night.

The central community for the working ranches spreads across broad Yampa Valley; it is home to a population of 9,500 people. Steamboat Springs is one of the most conveniently accessed ski resort communities in Colorado with daily wintertime non-stop flights from Denver, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Salt Lake City and Minneapolis. Saturday only flights include Newark and New York (LaGuardia).
